I also took a picture of my piece in black and white since the mermaids and surrounding areas are supposed to lack color.
In my piece I used my own ideas to think of the inner scuba goggles filled with color and having the area surrounding the colors be in darker tones. I incorporated some pictures I found online to draw the mermaid's hair and to get ideas for her hands. While I was working on my project, I asked one of my friend's for tips about how I could improve my piece.
